Remove categories or items

Remove categories or items (nodes) from a category.

About this task

Categories that contain other categories or items cannot be removed.

Steps

1. On the Master Catalog tab, locate the category or item you want to remove.
2. Click either the Edit category attributes or Edit item attributes button, depending on which type of node you want to remove. The corresponding edit dialog opens.
3. Click thetrash icon in the dialog. A confirmation dialog opens asking you if you want to permanently delete the category or item.
4. Click Delete.

A success message displays. The new category or item is removed from the parent category and permanently deleted.
