Outcome Hurdle
The Outcome Hurdle restriction applies to both Points Per: Amount Spent and Points Per: Item Quantity rules:
-
For Amount Spent rules, the Outcome Hurdle restriction indicates the minimum dollar amount that members must spend in a Points Per event to earn the point award.
The amount compared to the outcome hurdle is the total of the unit prices with tax excluded and discounts applied.
-
For Item Quantity rules, the Outcome Hurdle restriction indicates the minimum number of items members must purchase to earn the point award.
Events for which this is a core restriction
Example
A rule specifies that, for a Amount Spent event, the Outcome Hurdle restriction is set to $400. The outcome is set to 2 points per dollar spent.
A member purchases a paddle for $300 and a wetsuit for $200. The amount total is $475 ($500 minus $25 in tax). This event earns the member 950 points (475 x 2). Note that the point award is based on the amount spent (475) and not how much the amount spent exceeded the outcome hurdle (75, or 475 – 400).
