Visits: Any Store event

In Visits: Any Store events, members go to a store associated with a brand and earn the outcomes associated with the visits rule. The intent of a visits rule is to drive traffic to a particular store or stores. For example, a brand could launch a campaign to drive traffic to physical “brick and mortar” stores during a spring sales event.

Note that a purchase is not required to complete a visits event. For example, members could attend a product demonstration or a cooking exposition at the specified stores to satisfy the conditions of the visits rule. (Note that members would be required to register for the event to get credit for attending.)

Core restrictions

Visits: Any Store events are constrained by the following core restrictions.

  • Total Number of Times

Indicates how many times that members must complete an event before earning an outcome.

    The default setting is 1.

See Total Number of Times for a detailed description.

  • Store Variety

Indicates whether members must visit the same store to earn the outcome or can visit different stores to earn the outcome.

The default setting is visit any store.

See Store Variety for a detailed description.

  • Discount Eligibility

Indicates whether fully discounted items (items that have a zero-dollar value) should be included in determining the outcome earned by members.

This restriction is disabled by default.

See Discount Eligibility for a detailed description.

Ancillary restrictions

The following ancillary restrictions further constrain Visits: Any Store events.

Example

Your brand wants to drive traffic to its brick-and-mortar stores. To do this, you run a promotion where members who visit three separate stores during the summer months earn an award.

Note that the Total Number of Times restriction is set to 3, indicating 3 visits. The Store Variety restriction is set to “must be unique locations”, indicating that each visit must be to a different store.
