Build offer outcome
Offer-based outcomes provide an excellent means of motivating customers to complete behaviors defined for a particular tier. There are two ways of awarding customers an offer: issuing them upon the completion of a behavior and having them auto-purchased on a customer's behalf when their point balance reaches a specified threshold.
These offers are issued to a customer when they complete a specified behavior. Doing so makes the offer available for purchase by the customer.
Before you begin
Typically, the flow for building an outcome is to first build the rule that generates it. When a customer meets the logic expressed by the rule, they are rewarded with the associated outcome. For more information, learn about rules or how to configure them.
Steps
- In the rule builder for a behavior, click Edit in the Outcomes section.
-
On the Outcomes modal, which defaults to the Offers tab, click theClick to enable issue offer outcome button.
- Locate the offers you want to award to a customer when they complete the associated behavior. You can review the table, paging through it using the associated controls. Or you can use the search bar.
- In the Quantity field, either accept the default, which is set to 1, or specify a new value for the number of offers that can be issued.
- Select the Enabled? checkbox for every offer you want to award for the outcome. The offer tags display below the offer list table.
-
Specify a value in the Rank field to stipulate the order by which the system will apply the outcome.
- If you want, you can:
- Remove the offer from the list by clicking the X that displays in its tag.
- Disable the outcome and remove any specified offers by clicking the Disable Issue Offer Outcome button.
-
Click Done. The Outcomes modal closes, and the quantity of the selected offers displays in the behavior's Outcomes box in red, as unsaved changes.
- Click Save. The unsaved changes are now represented in the Offers tally within the Outcomes box.
After you finish
You can:
These offers are automatically purchased on behalf of a customer when their point balance reaches a certain threshold.
